How does Websearch.searchannel.info work?

Once the hijacker enters your computer, it changes your home page and your default search provider. Websearch.searchannel.info may not differ much from other search engines, however, after taking a closer look you will notice certain suspicious aspects. For example, it has an advertisement below the search box that is clearly fake. It also does not provide you with any search parameters. If you try searching for information, you get redirected to findamo.com which is a yet another unreliable engine. Findamo.com will bring you results that are filled with ads and sponsored links.

As it has already been mentioned, the main purpose of the hijacker is to promote various sites. Using the search engine to do it is just one of the tricks it employs. You will also notice various adverts, banners, pop-ups and hyperlinks on other pages that you visit. It does not matter what is the content of the site, you will still be exposed to ads. Some of them may even look useful to you. That is because of a yet another trick used by the hijacker. It tracks your cookies and collects information about your browsing habits. We urge you not to trust the advertisements blindly no matter how useful they may seem. Stay away from all commercial data until you get rid of Websearch.searchannel.info.

none of the anti malware programs is able to remove the stamplive adware from my computer. I’m afraid the only solution will be to go back to factory settings.

I had price minus ads popping up often in all webpages. It was driving me nuts.! I removed an extension from my browser (Firefox). I started deleting the extensions that I knew were not vital. And no more popups! I do have a couple of malware programs, and they too failed to remove these ads. But removing the extensions from Firefox + the add-ons section its what did the trick! I also did the same thing to google chrome browser, I deleted some add-ons, and extensions as well.
