Win32:MultiPlug Removal Guide

Win32:MultiPlug is a detection used to refer to a potentially unwanted or an ad-supported program. This infection usually takes form of a browser extension or a toolbar that gets installed onto your browsers. Although it is not a malicious application, it can still cause various disturbances and expose you to unreliable web content.

The software can insert ads and links into your browsers, cause redirects and slow down your Internet and system speed. If you are dealing with a browser hijacker, it will also modify your browser settings. In order to get rid of these unwanted effects, you will have to remove Win32:MultiPlug from your computer.

How does Win32:MultiPlug work?

The main purpose of ad-supported programs is to make profit by exploiting the computer user. That is why wherever you go online you will see ads, pop-ups, banners and so on. Every time you click on an advert, even accidentally, you help the developers of the software make profit. Unfortunately, not all ads that you will be presented with are actually safe. You will be exposed to unreliable links and if you follow them, you may suffer unwanted consequences. You could infect your PC with malware, spyware or another adware program. If you want to make sure that does not happen, you should terminate Win32:MultiPlug right away.

The way that the adware has entered your system most likely has to do with other freeware programs. When you install free software, you get various additional offers that you may not notice during the installation process. If you do not notice them, you agree to installing potentially unwanted applications without even realizing it. In order to make certain that never happens again, you need to choose Advanced mode, pay extra attention to every installation step and decline all optional offers no matter what they are.

none of the anti malware programs is able to remove the stamplive adware from my computer. I’m afraid the only solution will be to go back to factory settings.

I had price minus ads popping up often in all webpages. It was driving me nuts.! I removed an extension from my browser (Firefox). I started deleting the extensions that I knew were not vital. And no more popups! I do have a couple of malware programs, and they too failed to remove these ads. But removing the extensions from Firefox + the add-ons section its what did the trick! I also did the same thing to google chrome browser, I deleted some add-ons, and extensions as well.
