How does Websearch.fastosearch.info work?

Websearch.fastosearch.info works like any other hijacker. It changes your browser settings, so that every time you go online you see this webpage instead of your preferred one. The site contains a search box and a fake advert. It may not look too different from other search engine sites, however, a false advertisement is never a good sign. If you try searching for information using this engine, you will simply be redirected to Google. You may also see additional sponsored links in the results. We would urge you not to follow sponsored links or click on any ads brought to you by the hijacker as there is no way to know if they are legitimate or not.

If you are not sure how you could have ended up with this hijacker, you should try to remember what programs you have recently installed. It is quite often that browser hijackers, adware or other unwanted applications enter computers together with freeware. The bundling method is frequently used, because computer users rarely check all information provided in the installation wizard carefully. However, that is exactly what you should do next time, if you do not wish to acquire a yet another potentially unwanted program. As for the hijacker that is already in your system, we suggest you delete Websearch.fastosearch.info right away.

none of the anti malware programs is able to remove the stamplive adware from my computer. I’m afraid the only solution will be to go back to factory settings.

I had price minus ads popping up often in all webpages. It was driving me nuts.! I removed an extension from my browser (Firefox). I started deleting the extensions that I knew were not vital. And no more popups! I do have a couple of malware programs, and they too failed to remove these ads. But removing the extensions from Firefox + the add-ons section its what did the trick! I also did the same thing to google chrome browser, I deleted some add-ons, and extensions as well.
