What does Seektoexplore.com do?

As soon as the hijacker infiltrates a new PC, it starts tracking user’s online activities in order to learn his or her habits. It records favorite pages, geographical location, search queries, browsing history, clicks, IP address, preferred browser, and so on. All this data is used when the hijacker attempts to present you with attractive ads. Remember that the main goal of such intruder is to direct traffic to the predetermined pages. For every click on the promoted link, this software earns money thus it will do everything to induce you to choose the presented ads. When it has enough data about your preferences, this application will customize the advertisements making them look useful and interesting. If you are not comfortable with such privacy violation and tricks, you should remove Seektoexplore.com.

In addition to the annoying ads, the hijacker will also change the home page and default search engine without user’s permission. This allows the intruder to alter the provided search results and ensure that sponsored links will be among them. The links are just as dangerous as the ads and also should be avoided. Of course, to stay away from the links may be quite difficult, since they can be scattered in between your search results. Unfortunately, this means that for as long as this software stays in your PC, you will not be able to trust the presented search results.

If you accidentally clicked the ad or the link which belongs to the promoted third parties, it is very likely that you are in trouble. The biggest problem with the hijackers is the fact that they sponsor the unknown and thus suspicious websites. Nobody checks the pages to which you will be directed after clicking the ad, which means that at any time you may enter a website that belongs to cyber criminals. We do not need to explain how dangerous such encounter could be to your system and thus we urge you to delete Seektoexplore.com.

To protect your PC form such infiltrations in the future, you should know how Seektoexplore.com managed to sneak into your system. Most often, hijacker enters a PC bundled with freeware. If you often download free of charge software form unofficial websites, you should pay more attention to the installation procedure. Always use Advanced or Custom option and monitor every step of the download. Do not let some unknown software enter your system without permission.

none of the anti malware programs is able to remove the stamplive adware from my computer. I’m afraid the only solution will be to go back to factory settings.

I had price minus ads popping up often in all webpages. It was driving me nuts.! I removed an extension from my browser (Firefox). I started deleting the extensions that I knew were not vital. And no more popups! I do have a couple of malware programs, and they too failed to remove these ads. But removing the extensions from Firefox + the add-ons section its what did the trick! I also did the same thing to google chrome browser, I deleted some add-ons, and extensions as well.
