How does Search-quick.com work?

Search-quick.com is very similar to other programs of this type like omniboxes.com, jamenize.com, swellsearch.com and more. They all work in the same way. After infiltrating the system, the hijacker modifies your browser settings by changing your home page and default search provider. The site that now appears as your home page may not seem too suspicious. It actually looks like any other search webpage. If you try entering a query into the search box, you will be redirected to thesmartsearch.net which is a yet another browser hijacker. It will present you with original results that may include sponsored links.

You will also notice other interruptions during your online surfing. The hijacker will insert web banners, pop-ups, hyperlinks and other ads into your browsers, redirect you to unknown and possibly unsafe sites, slow down your Internet connection, track your cookies and so on. You should not tolerate these interruptions. We suggest you get rid of Search-quick.com and thus eliminate all of its symptoms. Before you do that, however, you should know how to avoid similar infections in the future. Since the hijacker usually arrives together with free software, you need to make sure you pay extra attention to its installation process. Always choose Advanced mode and decline all optional offers of unfamiliar applications.

none of the anti malware programs is able to remove the stamplive adware from my computer. I’m afraid the only solution will be to go back to factory settings.

I had price minus ads popping up often in all webpages. It was driving me nuts.! I removed an extension from my browser (Firefox). I started deleting the extensions that I knew were not vital. And no more popups! I do have a couple of malware programs, and they too failed to remove these ads. But removing the extensions from Firefox + the add-ons section its what did the trick! I also did the same thing to google chrome browser, I deleted some add-ons, and extensions as well.
