The adware is based on Injekt engine. Its main purpose is to generate web traffic, so it will fill your browsers with ads, pop-ups, banners and other types of shopping offers.

Although the software has an official website, myrazorweb.com, you will not find a lot of information on it other than its slogan “Slice through the internet with razor web!” and links to Home, End User License and Privacy Policy. How does Razor Web work?

Razor Web is aimed at earning pay-per-click revenue for its creators. We assure you, they are not concerned with your convenience or safety. If you keep this program on your PC, you are bound to encounter fake ads that could lead you to dangerous websites. Following a corrupted link may result in infecting your computer with malware or spyware, exposing your personal details to untrustworthy sources or wasting your money on non-existent products. In order to make certain that does not happen, you should terminate Razor Web.

The adware spreads with the help of freeware and shareware bundles. It gets attached to free software and is often presented as an additional offer that the user can decline. However, more often than not computer users simply do not check every step of the installation and thus unknowingly agree to installing additional software. You should not make that mistake again. Always go for Advanced mode and deselect all components that are not essential. That way you will be able to stay away from unwanted applications and still download the freeware that you need.

none of the anti malware programs is able to remove the stamplive adware from my computer. I’m afraid the only solution will be to go back to factory settings.

I had price minus ads popping up often in all webpages. It was driving me nuts.! I removed an extension from my browser (Firefox). I started deleting the extensions that I knew were not vital. And no more popups! I do have a couple of malware programs, and they too failed to remove these ads. But removing the extensions from Firefox + the add-ons section its what did the trick! I also did the same thing to google chrome browser, I deleted some add-ons, and extensions as well.
