How does Findamo.com work?

Findamo.com gets distributed the same way as other browser hijackers. It is bundled with freeware and shareware. The program is known to travel in Performersoft LLC installers. The company has developed such suspicious applications as Browser Defender, Drive Performer and more. The hijacker is in particularly linked to MyPCBackup, Portal More, PC Performer and some others. It is clear that if you have Findamo.com on your computer, it is more than likely that you also have one or more of the above mentioned potentially unwanted applications.

Once the hijacker gets access to your computer, it modifies your browser settings by replacing your home page and default search engine. The site does not differ much from other web search pages. It contains a search box and allows you to choose from such search parameters as Web, Images, Video, and News. The results that you will get should you make use of this engine will include sponsored links. Other commercial content such as ads, banners, pop-ups and so on will be inserted on all pages that you visit. We urge you to be careful with these advertisements as some of them are completely fake. The best decision you can make right now is to terminate Findamo.com.

none of the anti malware programs is able to remove the stamplive adware from my computer. I’m afraid the only solution will be to go back to factory settings.

I had price minus ads popping up often in all webpages. It was driving me nuts.! I removed an extension from my browser (Firefox). I started deleting the extensions that I knew were not vital. And no more popups! I do have a couple of malware programs, and they too failed to remove these ads. But removing the extensions from Firefox + the add-ons section its what did the trick! I also did the same thing to google chrome browser, I deleted some add-ons, and extensions as well.
