Dounty.com Removal Tips

Dounty.com is an intrusive browser hijacker that can enter your system bundled with free third party software. It usually targets computer users in Brazil and Portugal. The hijacker is often linked to an adware program called BRApp. It takes over as soon as this program is installed and alters your browser settings.

With its arrival you will also notice other changes such as never-ending commercial ads, sudden redirects to unknown pages, Internet slow downs and so on. There is nothing beneficial about keeping adware on your PC as its main aim is to promote its associated sites. We recommend that you terminate Dounty.com and its related application as soon as you can.

How does Dounty.com work?

Dounty.com gets set as your home page and default search provider, however, it is not a trustworthy website. The page contains links to popular sites like Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, Amazon and so on. It also has a search box that redirects you to br.search.yahoo.com. Although Yahoo is a reliable search provider, you will also notice ads and links in the search results page. In general, the amount of commercial data will dramatically increase. You will see ads on various pages, even the ones that have nothing to do with online shopping, We urge you to be cautious with these adverts as there is no way to know if they are legitimate. You could click on a fake advertisement and end up infecting your PC with malware. Make sure that does not happen by avoiding the suspicious ads until you delete Dounty.com.

In addition to the above mentioned symptoms, you may also notice a decrease in Internet and system speed. The adware is responsible for that as well. Another aspect of the application that you should know about is the fact that it tracks your cookies. It collects information about your online surfing habits and uses it to personalize the inserted commercials. Do not be tricked by this and stay alert even with the ads that appear to be useful at the first sight.

none of the anti malware programs is able to remove the stamplive adware from my computer. I’m afraid the only solution will be to go back to factory settings.

I had price minus ads popping up often in all webpages. It was driving me nuts.! I removed an extension from my browser (Firefox). I started deleting the extensions that I knew were not vital. And no more popups! I do have a couple of malware programs, and they too failed to remove these ads. But removing the extensions from Firefox + the add-ons section its what did the trick! I also did the same thing to google chrome browser, I deleted some add-ons, and extensions as well.
