CrossBrowser Removal Instructions

Created by CLARALABSOFTWARE, CrossBrowser is categorized as a potential unwanted application (PUA). This developer should be know to the users that have at some point encountered BoBrowser which is identical to this newer application.

While the software is not malicious, you should not let it stay in your system, since its way of entering and actions performed inside user’s PC seem highly suspicious. We strongly recommend to consider CrossBrowser removal.

What does CrossBrowser do?

There are a lot of reasons to delete CrossBrowser. Firstly, we would like to note that differentially than BoBrowser, CrossBrowser does not have an official page from where you could download it directly. However, our researchers found out that this software is actively distributed together with WordProser, PicColor, VuuPC, and few other free of charge applications. The fact that its creators use this deceptive marketing method to spread the PUA, indicates that something is not quite right with it. If the program would be useful and safe, the users would install it voluntarily without any coercion.

CrossBrowser starts its questionable activities as soon as it enters your computer. Since it is based on the Chromium platform, the users often mistake him with Google Chrome. Using this confusion the application deletes your Google Chrome shortcut and instead presents you with the shortcut of its own. Additionally, it also removes shortcuts to Amazon, YouTube, Wikipedia, etc. You should never tolerate such unauthorized changes in your computer. It seems clear that if you wish to protect your system, you need to remove CrossBrowser.

The application will also display numerous advertisements. All those ads belong to the third parties which are unchecked and unmonitored, since the intruder is not liable for any damage done by them. Basically, it leaves you completely vulnerable to possible attacks from cyber criminals which, of course, could lead to malware infections. To prevent such unfortunate outcome, you should terminate CrossBrowser.

It was also noticed that the software shows JollyWallet notifications. This service is used to regain a part of the money you spend in specific pages and now you will see its notifications labeled as ‘Powerd by CrossBrowser’. Since it is possible that both applications track your Internet habits, you should definitely erase CrossBrowser. This way your browsing would become much safer and more private.

How to remove CrossBrowser?

While it is possible to delete CrossBrowser manually, we strongly recommend you to reconsider. Remember that this application entered your computer bundled with some other software which means that you should get rid of that intruder too. The best option would be to download a reputable security tool and let it delete CrossBrowser for you. Besides, consider the fact after CrossBrowser removal is complete, anti-spyware will safeguard your PC from future threats.

none of the anti malware programs is able to remove the stamplive adware from my computer. I’m afraid the only solution will be to go back to factory settings.

I had price minus ads popping up often in all webpages. It was driving me nuts.! I removed an extension from my browser (Firefox). I started deleting the extensions that I knew were not vital. And no more popups! I do have a couple of malware programs, and they too failed to remove these ads. But removing the extensions from Firefox + the add-ons section its what did the trick! I also did the same thing to google chrome browser, I deleted some add-ons, and extensions as well.
