CloudScout Removal Tips

CloudScout is a browser extension that adds commercial data to your browsers without your permission. It is often referred to as adware. The program affects all popular browsers. Its advertisements are usually labeled “Powered by CloudScout”, “Ads by CloudScout” and so on.

The ad-supported program should not be trusted as it was created for the sole purpose of boosting web traffic. That is how the developers of the software make money. If you do not wish to risk your computer’s safety and continue getting interrupted by unreliable advertising content you should delete CloudScout from your system.

How does CloudScout work?

If you are not sure how CloudScout ended up in your PC that is probably because it arrived bundled with other freeware. When you install free software you are often offered to install additional applications as well. These applications rarely have any value as they are mostly browser hijackers and adware. If you do not specifically decline these offers, they get installed automatically. The only way to avoid that is to choose Custom or Advanced installation, carefully check all provided information and deselect the programs that you do not wish to have on your computer. Be sure to follow these tips next time and you will not have to deal with similar issues again.

CloudScout is actually promoted as a tool that “allows users to surf the web with confidence” by blocking unsafe and inappropriate websites. Under its key features transparent filtering, ease of use, no speed degradation and millions of categorized websites are listed. It would seem that the application really does have something to offer, unfortunately, it is not as helpful as its description suggests. The adware will expose you to various ads, pop-ups, banners and links. Worse than that, however, some of them will be clearly fake. Clicking on them could result in malware infection and financial losses. That is why you should not hesitate to remove CloudScout from your PC.

How to terminate CloudScout?

Luckily, when it comes to adware, it is not that difficult to remove it. You can uninstall CloudScout via Control Panel or you can use a malware removal tool that will do it for you. The advantage of going with the second option is that the anti-malware will not only delete CloudScout and other possible threats, but also protect your PC from similar infections in the future. Still, if you choose to eliminate CloudScout manually, you can use the instructions presented below.

none of the anti malware programs is able to remove the stamplive adware from my computer. I’m afraid the only solution will be to go back to factory settings.

I had price minus ads popping up often in all webpages. It was driving me nuts.! I removed an extension from my browser (Firefox). I started deleting the extensions that I knew were not vital. And no more popups! I do have a couple of malware programs, and they too failed to remove these ads. But removing the extensions from Firefox + the add-ons section its what did the trick! I also did the same thing to google chrome browser, I deleted some add-ons, and extensions as well.
