Ai88 Virus Removal Tips

Ai88 Virus is a ransomware infection which secretly enters user’s computer and encrypts some of the files. Afterwards, cyber criminals that attacked your PC demand payment for the decryption.

However, before you agree to pay the ransom, remember that this malware is very similar to VirLock, BitCrypt, Critoni, etc. which means that there are no guarantees that the crooks will give you the decryption key, even if you comply with their demands. Keeping all of this in mind, we recommend to delete Ai88 Virus instead of giving away your savings to hackers.

How does Ai88 Virus work?

In most cases, such malicious software enters user’s computer with the help of a Trojan, via spam email attachment, or after user clicks the suspicious ad in an unreliable website. However, according to our research team, this particular rogue is frequently spread using the illegal pages. It is usually installed inside user’s PC by the suspicious PDF files, like V72.pdf or V76.pdf. Be more careful in the future and protect your system against malware. If this virus is already in your computer, remove Ai88 Virus.

Once the ransomware enters your PC, it will immediately start encrypting the files with extensions like xls, .cdr, .txt, .jpg, .doc, .pdf, and so on. The private decryption key is created and hidden in a remote server. Furthermore, the software can also install additional files without users’ permission. Once this part of the plan is complete, the infection blocks your screen and displays a message demanding to pay the money for the decryption of your files. The required amount is usually approximately 1 BitCoin. Since the alert looks really scary, a lot of users panic and comply. However, that does not guarantee that you will recover your files. The best decision would be to uninstall Ai88 Virus and to get back your files from the backup.

However, if you do not have a backup for your data, you need to decide what to do next. If you terminate Ai88 Virus immediately, you will probably never recover your files. On the other hand, even if you do pay the money, there are no guarantees that cyber crooks will provide you with the decryption key. Moreover, by paying the ransom you will reveal your banking information to hackers that attacked your system and this may result in further monetary on a later date.

I had price minus ads popping up often in all webpages. It was driving me nuts.! I removed an extension from my browser (Firefox). I started deleting the extensions that I knew were not vital. And no more popups! I do have a couple of malware programs, and they too failed to remove these ads. But removing the extensions from Firefox + the add-ons section its what did the trick! I also did the same thing to google chrome browser, I deleted some add-ons, and extensions as well.
