What is istartsurf?

istartsurf is classified as a browser hijacker. It belongs to Qone8 family of browser hijackers along with Aartemis.com, Dosearches.com, Qone8.com and many more. The unwanted program can affect Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. It enters your system together with other freeware and shareware. Most of the time computer users do not pay attention to the installation process and that is why they may not notice the hijacker’s addition. istartsurf can change you browser settings, insert commercials and redirects into your browser, cause Internet and system slow downs and so on. We recommend that you terminate istartsurf as soon as you can.

How does istartsurf work?

istartsurf becomes your home page and default search provider after the hijacker takes over. The site itself looks quite decent, it does not contain any ads or any other unnecessary information. When you enter a query into the search box, you get redirected to Google. Needless to say, you can just use Google directly. The so-called search engine can add sponsored content to the results page or redirect you to some other site while you are using it. Although the settings alterations are certainly annoying, they are not the only reason you should want to get rid of istartsurf.

The browser hijacker displays various adverts on your screen. Pop-ups, banners, hyperlinks and other ads appear everywhere you go online. Some of them are personalized according the your browsing history. We urge you to be careful with the commercial content as there is no way to know that it is legitimate. You are very likely to be exposed to fake ads. Do not click on them if you do not wish to infect your computer with malicious or potentially unwanted programs. As for the hijacker, you should delete istartsurf right away.

How to remove istartsurf?

Luckily, it is not that difficult to eliminate istartsurf. All you need to do is uninstall its related program and then reset your browsers. That is, of course, if you choose to go with manual removal. If not, you can always delete istartsurf automatically. Just download the anti-malware tool and let it scan your PC. It will detect not only the hijacker, but also other applications that may be potentially harmful. You will then be able to remove istartsurf and other threats. Since the software also works as a malware prevention utility, you will not  have to worry about your computer’s safety any longer.

none of the anti malware programs is able to remove the stamplive adware from my computer. I’m afraid the only solution will be to go back to factory settings.

I had price minus ads popping up often in all webpages. It was driving me nuts.! I removed an extension from my browser (Firefox). I started deleting the extensions that I knew were not vital. And no more popups! I do have a couple of malware programs, and they too failed to remove these ads. But removing the extensions from Firefox + the add-ons section its what did the trick! I also did the same thing to google chrome browser, I deleted some add-ons, and extensions as well.
