Bit-search.com Removal Guide

The developers of Bit-search.com claim that their aim is to provide you with “ultimate online search experience”. Their advanced technology is supposed to bring you the best web results. In reality, that is not really the case. Bit-search.com is nothing more than a browser hijacker that can alter your browser settings without your authorization.

Its main purpose is to advertise its associated sites. The hijacker can add various advertisements to your favorite pages and insert them in search results. If you do not wish to see unnecessary commercial content in your web browser, you should delete Bit-search.com from your PC.

How does Bit-search.com work?

Once the hijacker sets Bit-search.com as your home page and default search engine, you will see this site every time you go online. The page itself does not seem reliable at all. All it contains is a search box and a fake advertisement right below it. The website also provides you with links to About Us, Terms of Use, Privacy, Contact Us and, finally, Advertise. If you click on the last link, you will be able to read all about how the hijacker is used for promoting various sites and how it employs PPC strategy. Pay-per-click is an advertising model where advertisers pay the publisher, in this case the creators of Bit-search.com, every time you click on the advertisements. That is how the developers of the application make profit and it also explains why it was created in the first place.

The main problem with the inserted ads, aside from the fact that they are annoying, is that they may also be fake. You could be presented with misleading alerts and notifications. You could also encounter fake lotteries and surveys. Clicking on fake ads and landing on corrupted pages could result in serious consequences like malware infection or even financial losses. That is why you should not waste any time and terminate Bit-search.com right away.

none of the anti malware programs is able to remove the stamplive adware from my computer. I’m afraid the only solution will be to go back to factory settings.

I had price minus ads popping up often in all webpages. It was driving me nuts.! I removed an extension from my browser (Firefox). I started deleting the extensions that I knew were not vital. And no more popups! I do have a couple of malware programs, and they too failed to remove these ads. But removing the extensions from Firefox + the add-ons section its what did the trick! I also did the same thing to google chrome browser, I deleted some add-ons, and extensions as well.
